About the RoleThe Head of Learning (Garnsey) leads the development, evaluation and enhancement of learning and teaching across Years 7–12. You will guide staff in curriculum planning, assessment, reporting and pedagogical practice, ensuring that every student is supported to grow, achieve and thrive.Key areas of leadership include:Leading best-practice teaching and learning in collaboration with the Deputy Principal and Heads of CampusOverseeing the development of whole-school curriculum scope and sequenceSupporting teachers through mentoring, modelling, and collaborative planningEnsuring assessment and reporting processes are accurate, evidence-based and alignedPromoting the effective use of curriculum mapping tools and learning management systemsBuilding strategic partnerships that enhance learning pathways and opportunitiesLeading Heads of Department and key curriculum teamsPresenting at parent information evenings and school eventsDriving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of professional growthThis role is integral to ensuring an engaging, rigorous and innovative academic program for our students. About YouYou are an exceptional educator with a deep understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and contemporary learning research.   • Head of Learning (years 7-12)
  • Full-time Position of Responsibility | 3-Year Tenure
  • Allowance (4% of Level 9) and a 0.8 FTE time-release

About the Role

The Head of Learning (Garnsey) leads the development, evaluation and enhancement of learning and teaching across Years 7–12. You will guide staff in curriculum planning, assessment, reporting and pedagogical practice, ensuring that every student is supported to grow, achieve and thrive.

Key areas of leadership include:

  • Leading best-practice teaching and learning in collaboration with the Deputy Principal and Heads of Campus
  • Overseeing the development of whole-school curriculum scope and sequence
  • Supporting teachers through mentoring, modelling, and collaborative planning
  • Ensuring assessment and reporting processes are accurate, evidence-based and aligned
  • Promoting the effective use of curriculum mapping tools and learning management systems
  • Building strategic partnerships that enhance learning pathways and opportunities
  • Leading Heads of Department and key curriculum teams
  • Presenting at parent information evenings and school events
  • Driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of professional growth

This role is integral to ensuring an engaging, rigorous and innovative academic program for our students.

 About You
